Company Name -
My story started in 1912.  I was built by a man named John Wylie who came to Atoka, Ok.  in 1905.  He was employed by the Patton-Gibson Construction Company.  After his retirement at the completion of His job building the railroad track from Stringtown Oklahoma to Denison Texas.  John began construction on me at the NW corner of  East A and North Delaware St. (Block 20 Lot 6) He purchased a lot on February 1, 1912.  He began construction immediately on me.  I was a seven room bungalow which featured a basement under my whole house.   I was completed at the end of April in 1912.
Little did the designer and builders of my structure  realize  how I would change and flow with the times!  My value and worth was not just my good looks but what would take place within my walls.  I've housed and cared for many families.  I covered those families becoming a safe refuge, a place where everyday life happened, where family was celebrated and enjoyed.  Entertaining and hospitality is my specialty, sharing  warmth,  providing  comfort and rest  for those guest who reside within my stoic and strong walls.  I was created for this purpose.  I still remain,  100 years strong, ready to be useful for the present and future plans.  For the joyful celebrations and events that will continue to take place under the shadow of my newly restored frame.. I was moved from my foundation on A Street in the spring of 2004.  My dwelling can now be seen 3 miles w. of Atoka on Hwy 3.  I overlook the city now at 245 West Hwy. 3.   I have been restored and honored with caring and loving hands.  Many hours have been taken with me and many talented workers with expertise have prepared me to stand strong for another 100 years.  I will be honored now as I was than, a part of this new age  continuing my Legacy for those who respect and care for me.
Come visit and see for yourself, a vision and reflection of the past, present and future.
